Did you look really hard at the small hoses attached to the thermostat? 
An occasional drip at idle will evaporate before you see anything wet, 
but at speed can result in a measurable loss. And the underpan is where 
what doesn't evaporate ends up. I know your leak didn't have the same 
cause as mine, but the symptoms are identical. It ws a real bear to find, 
especially with the CAI i the way, but a finger run under the small hoses 
came out wet...ending a week of worry and frustration.

BTW--was the catch tank dry?
