Thanks again for those who sent instructions on taking off the door panels
of a 99- I love this list!

I have bought some 6.5" component polk speakers.  They do not fit,
obviously, in the 6 x 9" area for the stock units.  I was thinking of
cutting some plywood to fit the door opening and mounting the speakers on
it- but then i wouldnt have  the rain guard behind the speaker.  my
questions- how important is that rainguard, and do 6 x 9 to 6.5 speaker
adapters exist?  the audio stores i have been to say they do not (but I dont
trust them.)  BTW, I am also dynomatting the doors.
