For the benefit of those with certain other year M1s, some of Bill's
instructions don't apply:
>* Carefully pry square plug out of upper part of interior door arm
> rest.
>* Remove three Phillips screws from arm rest, and remove it.
On cars without armrests, pry out the oval plug in the door pull/grab
handle. There are only two screws in the pull. There's another screw,
though, hiding under a trim cap at the rear of the map pocket.

Some speaker covers are attached to the door trim panel by bent-over
metal tabs, and do not snap off. If you try to pop them off, you're bound
to damage the panel and/or the cover. No matter, they simply come off
with the panel and aren't attached to anything inside.
