Last week I was talking to a friend who is looking for a fun car. She
discounted Miatas because they seem unsafe -- she's considering an SUV or a
65 Mustang!! I related my last 2 experiences, similar to yours, in which I'm
fairly certain that a fatal crash would have resulted had I been driving
virtually anything else. She was unconvinced. I thought I might take her
for a mountain demo ride, but that's been known to put people off driving
altogether.
