Had my first big run in The Wee Blue Devil today as I headed for Detroit to
watch my team, Glasgow Rangers, beat the Scum, Glasgow Celtic, and therefore
clinch the league title at Celtic's dump. Almost the Best day of my life.

Anyway, does anyone else agree that Detroit is a total hole for driving in.
My Miata must have had years taken off it's shocks driving up there. The pot
holes are so big that a few Miatas hit some and just disappeared. It's a
disgrace.

Then I got lost and ended up on General Motor's Boulevard which must mean
that GM want their cars to be driven in a stop/start fashion every 50 yards.
Then I banged the bottom of my poppet leaving a gas station. Nightmare!

Anyone think there are any roads worse than Detroit?

Another joke are the speed limit signs. Why have them? No one takes a blind
bit of notice. Really, go to any Detroit highway, look at the sign, look at
the speed of the traffic and at some point you'll fall into hysterical
laughter. It makes NO sense.

Respect though to Michigan law enforcement, or lack of! Not a plod on the
road. Fine out of town, but they need some disipline in the Metro area

Back to Ohio and level roads. I had a little interaction with a Ford Pube. I
was in the right lane at a merge point and had a line of traffic to my left,
therefore pulling out to allow the merge was out of the question. I slowed a
little and let two in and it was then that the Ford Pube reckoned a game of
chicken was in order. I held the lane, used "The Force" and guy shit
himself. Right in front of his chick and mate. Of course the driver of The
Pube gave me an earful on the way past but by then I was lost in Kula Shaker
"K" and thoughts of the my teams destructions of the lowly filth earlier in
the day.

All in all, would have been the best day of my life if I had squeezed 18
holes in there and got trashed on cheap alcohol too. Still, the night is
young, so the alcohol is still an option.
