A number of us believe that a heavy key ring will throw a side-load on
the ignition switch sufficient to eventually cause intermittent
operation. I for one have nothing on my small key ring but my Miata
key and the key to my car cover cable lock.
If we're right, it makes sense to have a light key ring. If we're
wrong... well, it couldn't hurt. :-)
