This list does not have the solution to this problem. I've asked the
same question along with a half a dozen other people. There are some
suggestions, but no one really knows what the problem is.
I had the problem when my car was stock. I've since changed the
springs, shocks, sway bars, end links, wheels, tires, front rotors,
front calipers and front pads. I still have the problem.
I even put my face on the ground and looked at the bushings on the lower
A arm while Shiv braked to make the noise. No bushing movement at all
while there is a very loud clunk coming from the center of the chassis,
once on compression, the other on rebound. But the sound can't be
duplicated with two people compressing the suspension....
Just for the record...if I get killed flying off the track at Laguna
Seca next weekend, somebody get my car and figure out what the hell
broke so this damn clunking problem will be solved!!!
