Cinco de Mayo Dyno Day III is Wednesday and starts at 9:00 AM. We
usually try to get some trick car to help keep the "mine is bigger than
yours" to a minimum (TNT's 900 rwhp Viper did a pretty effective job at
DD II).

This year we have two outstanding RX-7s including Brad Barber's killer
car. Brad dynoed 355 horsepower and 318 ft. lbs. before his recent
engine rebuild.

Kyle Krutilek is also bringing his car. Kyle car turned a 12.07 sec @
117.4 mph 1/4 mile on street tires at Baytown last time out out. Kyle
has the same relationship to Brad that I have to Clifford
(semi-attractive little sister).

Both cars we featured in a recent issue of Sport Compact Car and both
have been on ESPN2. Shiv wrote the SCC article and he is also coming to
CdMDD III.

Best of all Brad and Kyle are great guys. Lots of fun and always ready
to help.

Weather should be very good Wednesday (Clearing after mild thunder
showers Tuesday. Lows in the 60s. Highs in the upper 80s).

Y'all come,
Hemphill

I saw that. Too cool, badness from an intraplanetary perspective is a
pleasing thing to anticipate.

> I still hope to dyno Brad's car if at all possible.

I got my car from MTI TONIGHT! It had been there since I trailered it back
from Summit Point and the Rotary Expo (Easter weekend). Ran track with
about 175 RX7s and 60 Miatas from the Washington Mazda Club. I installed
delrin rear A-arm and differential bushings along with chrome moly rear
control arms with heim joint ends. The puppy is stiff now, it is mean and
fast. I'm going to clean it up from the trip for CdMDD3. It will be the
first dyno of the Ray Lochhead ported motor, so who knows what will
transpire?

That would be cool, too.

It is going to be action-packed. I cannot wait to see who shows. I think
Shiv's boss, Josh Jacquot, is coming, too. Meeting him was how the article
first started. Just before he moved from Houston to LA and started with
SCC, I raced him on Richmond Ave. We started talking and 'BAM', article.

And ditto to you, sir. It has been too long.

regards,
Brad
