| Subject: | What Happened To D40 M2's? |
| Date: | Sat, 1 May 1999 15:11:49 -0400 |
I'm not ready for tires yet, but I've noticed something odd.
When my OEM Yoko's wore out, I bought D60 A2's, 'cause that was a good
all-round value tire for the time.
When I bought my Panasport wheels before my D60 A2's wore out, I
bought D40 M2's, 'cause that was a good all-round value for the time,
and unlike D60's, I could get 195-50 15's.
So now I'm looking at Tire Rack ads, and I'm seeing no D40 M2's. Did
they quit making them? D60's are still listed.
If I were buying new 195-50 15's now for general road use in Florida
(no snow, only occasional rain, maybe an autocross once in a while,
but I have D60's for autocross wheels and tires if I wanta change out
- I autocross for fun, not for score), then what should I get...
Michelin Pilots? Which ones?
TIA.
