Larry was right... well, half right. It was the hood alright,
rubbing against the CAI box. But without Larrys pointer, I
wouldn't've been nosing around the front two hood bumpstops. Then I
noticed a small shiny spot on the drivers side of the lower half of
the CAI "mouth", and a corresponding shiny spot on the hood, with
dust all around. Grabbed a file and whittled away, took another
drive and the noise appears to be gone! The afternoon sun is setting
in (heating things up), so a test in the morning will prove 100%
success.

In retrospect this make sense. Upon initial installation, no
vibration noise (thing was pressed hard into the hood, and ground
away w/o rattling). A few weeks later the noise sets in (once the
thing is worn down and fits looser), mainly when cold (gap is the
most when the plastic is cold).

Thanks, Larry!
