Subject:How can you keep the factory boot from flapping loose?/Thanks it
Date: Tue, 1 Jun 1999 21:13:32 -0400

I took the information that was sent to me from the list and took it to the
dealer. They tried to have me leave the boot there so they could have the
boot that was torn at the seam reglued. I said no, that's not what other
dealers are doing. They are replacing it with a better sewed boot. After I
showed the parts and service manager the miatalist copy I printed out, they
then called the Miata Rep. He said order a new one. AND THEY DID. YEA. Said
about 2 weeks will and it will be in. Thank you for all the help and advice.
Yall saved me on this one. Oh yes. Having the strap under the bottom bar
does work great. Less flapping. Didn't come off at back.
