That's what I find amazing about some of the aftermarket parts for the Miata,
especially exhaust systems. My previous car was a 5.0 Mustang and, as you
probably know, the aftermarket is awash in tons of products. I cannot
justify spending $400 on a Miata exhaust knowing that I could pay $370 for a
stainless DUAL exhaust system for the Stang. I know the Borla system is
~$280, but I hear a lot of negatives regarding its tone. On the Mustang,
though, a Borla system sounds awesome. I personally had a Bassani system,
from headers to exhaust. That is one big thing I miss about the Stang...the
Bassani system sounded awesome!!
There has to be some way we, as a whole, can start earning price concessions
on some of our most desired products. I say we should ask for a set price of
$100 on everything!! O.K., maybe $500 for a supercharger! =)
Just a rant. YMMV.
