Well that sucks!  What a rip!  If this is true, I am
now kicking myself in the arse for shelling out an
additional $100 for these things!

I could always return them.

With all this talk about headlights, I thought I would
let everyone
know about the place where I bought mine.  It's called
Aardvark
International and is at http://talbotco.com  Anyway,
the 7" round
E-Code Cibies are $59 each and bulbs were free when I
ordered mine. 
Very friendly service and MUCH cheaper than Serious
Auto who sells them
for $195 a pair without bulbs.
