Calametro? :-)

Seriously though, even tho we've been complying to the metric system for a
good 100 years now, we STILL measure lumber, tires and rims in inches (and
millermeters, but only with regard to width), air pressure in bar, engine
power output in horsepowers (although DIN-sized ponies). With the European
Union we've also got pints from the Misty Islands of the Celts, at least in
English/Scottish/Irish pubs. Plus, we DO have miles in Sweden, but Swedish
miles (I kid you not). These are, however, not 1609 meters, but instead 10
km. Mileage on cars for instance, is printed out (in ads etc) in these
miles, but on all distance signs we use killermeters.

Well, are we funky or are we funky?!?!?!? :-) Perhaps it's all that ice and
snow and the Swedish meatballs (and the Swedish Bikini Team) that causes
it... :-D
