Steve, can't comment on the connectors, etc, but I did
a custom 3-gauge jobber on my 91 Miata.
I had an after market single-DIN radio, thus, I had
some space to mount three 2 1/16" Autometer Classic
gauges.
I bought a generic radio tray/tub from Pep Boys for
$9. This is the plastic tub that mounts under your
typical dash for any size radio. The reason I bouht
it was because it had over 7" in straight plastic that
looked very similar to the Miata's dash in texture
patterns. Anything like this will do as long as your
have the plate measurments.
After cutting out the plate section, I measured 3
openings that I used my Dremmel/Wizard on with a
grinder. Took all of 30mins to get it done.
Easy and cost effective...Hope this helps!

Subject: Gauge Questions

I am planning on installing 3 gauges below my radio
and have somequestions.
First does anyone sell a gauge plate that would hold 3
of the 2 1/16"gauges
in a standard din size opening. I know that greedy
sells one but Iwanted to
see if anyone knows of anyone else that sells it. I
am going to add
autometer's oil pressure, oil temperature, and
air/fuel ratio gauges. I
wanted to find out what sender to use for oil pressure
and oiltemperature.
I think I can use the 94 or earlier sender for oil
pressure but have noidea
what sender and where the sender would mount for the
oil temperaturegauge.
I guess there is no combo sender for oil temp and
pressure? For theair/fuel
meter I am just going to tap off the O2 sensor
(correct?). Thanks inadvance
for the information.Steve
