I did a LOT of stereo installation when I ran a Radidio Shack. It was SOP
to use the plastic weather shields on EVERY door speaker installation to
prevent having to replace speakers a few months down the road. You'd think
a major automobile manufacturer would have figured this out. I'll bet few
of them have. Or, maybe they have, but figure most car buyers will endure
the garbled crap emanating from the doors. They work pretty well.
