I don't know about that.  I drove to Texas leading a caravan
of 18+ cars through Virginia and chatted up a storm on my
Cobra.  At well over 80 at some points and with the top and
windows down, , no one complained that wind noise was making
it hard to understand me.

One added improvement - I added an external speaker mounted
between the
seats on the carpet above the compartment housing the trunk
release.  The
external speaker makes it considerably easier to hear while
driving 75 with
the top down (and windblocker up).  However, at that speed,
you also need
the windows up to speak or the wind noise will be too
distracting.
