Yup, I'm sure that our poster looks as poor as yours. (We
just got ours in the mail today.) We're guessing that the
poster was printed from a scan of the original
print/negative, and was later merged with the Miata World
logo. That might explain the really poor resolution,
contrast, and color rendition.  

Does anyone know what the actual printing process was?

I agree.  On the day of the shoot, I noticed the
photographer shifting between using an SLR and what looked
to be a medium format camera.  (I had my binoculars.) 
Surely, a medium format negatives can be used to print a
decent poster-sized print with far better resolution than we
got.  The only reason for keeping it is because it's better
than nothing, literally.  But, it's certainly not worth the
money that was spent.  Still, I'd be willing to spend more
if I knew that the end product would be of better quality.

BTW, I was in the second column from the left, third car
from the front.  Jaime in his laguna blue was in the third
column from the left, third car from the front ... as if you
could tell.  ;b
