It has restored my faith in them. This shows that they are trying to make
the things that went haywire during MM99 right. I can't comment on the track
photo because I didn't order one, but if you are unhappy let them know. They
might be just as unhappy, I'm sure the MM99 folks bought a photo too. Maybe
something can be worked out.
Each national event has grown progressively through the years and I think in
an effort to outdo the proceeding national event MM99 let their Texas sized
mouths overload their (insert smaller state name here) capabilities. IMHO
all these complaints just validate the MCA's idea of regional events as
opposed to one big national event. A 150-200 car event with lots of local
flavor might be an idea whose time has come.
6 regional events spread out over a year equals one every 2 months, the
northern events could be held in the summer, central events in the
spring/fall and the southern ones in the winter. Those with the free time
and money can become the car equivalents of "Dead Heads" following around
event after event in one never ending Miatafest. The rest of us can pick the
one event that intrigues us the most for that year and build a vacation
around it. And then the regional that is closest can be a long weekend
getaway.
