I have the very similar all mesh intakes from KG Works. The quality is
outstanding. There is a painted steel support that includes a plugin to the
original wiring harness-all unseen but very nice-behind the intake.
Installation is very straightforward.
I bought them at the KG Works factory just before Memorial Day, and met
Jun-san, who was very helpful. He spent a lot of time with me talking about
how I can make a gated short shifter (difficult), showing me parts, serving
me refreshments (it was a warm day), letting me try out the short shifter in
the KG Works car, and then letting me sit in his new car-a Honda S2000, and
finally giving me a ride in it back to the train station! I asked him how he
liked it, and he commented he didn't have much time with the car-it had only
84kms on it. It seems nice, and looks good on the outside, but I mentioned,
I hope tactfully, that I thought the design of the dash could have been
better. He agreed, and said he is working on making an analog dash for it.
Unless there is a hidden switch somewhere the only gauges are fuel and water
temp, plus a digital speedo and bar graph tach. The interior is very
dull-the opposite of a TT. <g>
As for KG Works, I did get the short shifter, and the quality is excellent.
Everything needed is included, even extra bushings, although you need to
swap two plastic pieces off your old shifter, or buy them new for $15. All
of their products, while not cheap, are of exceptional quality. I'm eyeing
the aluminum dash, wondering if I can get Autometer gauges in it.

I don't think I've seen them before. Does anybody have them on an
actual car?
