YEP....on the sidewall of any DOT legal tire there is a month/year embossed
on the tire....In general be careful in buying new tires...check these dates
before the tires are mounted or get a guarantee if your using Tire Rack etc.
I had a friend a year ago who got new Pirelli P-Zero's for SilverState only
to find out they were produced  two years earlier....after the tires and
wheels were mounted, balanced and the car was fully aligned. . .Maybe not a
big deal for most guys espially if the tires have been stored properly BUT
he wanted NEW tires....because he raced. . .the tire dealer did exchange the
tires at no additional cost.
Buyer beware!
