>Is Air-Bag lamp in gauge mandatory?
Good question. I suppose that it is mandatory for the manufacturer to have it,
but I don't know who would care if you disconnected it yourself. Except, maybe
the person you sell the car to later might like to know.

Either do without the airbag and light motor lights or wire suitable
replacement light(s) elsewhere on the dash.
>I hope this is not illegal. Does anyone know about this?
The retract light I could do without all together. I still don't understand
why it is there in the first place. The huge airbag symbol could be replaced
by some small text like 'SRS' or somthing similar that lit up.

You may forward this suggestion to AWD if you like, along with my condolances,
at an appropriate time.
