Dear List Fans:
        This is my first message to the list. My 10AE Sapphire Blue has 
incurred some damage to the finish. I have several small chips in the paint 
on the hood, and one longer smear that looks like someone was trying to "key" 
the car. I noticed this the morning after I was in the Cleveland Flats to 
hear my daughter's boyfriend's band play. I had parked in a lot, so thought 
she would be safe!
	  What I need to know is how to repair the damage. Additional waxing 
and buffing did not disguise or hide the smear, which appears to be damage to 
the clear topcoat only. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
	  Oh yeah! Re: longest trip - we took this Miata out to Farmington, 
NM to our daughter's graduation and then on to the World Event in Dallas, TX. 
We put almost 5,000 mis. on the first two weeks of ownership!
