First a BIG thank you to Scott, Doc and all the RAGS Group for a
fantastic weekend..  The work is overwhelming and I for one really
appreciate it.. Checked onto the Best Western in Townsend on Friday AM
and headed for the Foothills Parkway WOW what a beautiful drive and a
great prolog to the DRAGON.  Had my T-1s and new powerslots inplace and
ready for the twisties and it was great.  Hung out most of the day and
made a few more runs.. Of course had to spend $$ w/ the KNOBMEISTER but
hey he has to support his habit.  Met lots of new Miata folks and
sawmany old friends and had a great weekend..of course it could have
been a little bit cooler but hey life ain't perfect...  One thing that
always amazes me at these events is the class of people, all are
friendly, helpful and willing to lend a hand if there is a problem.. but
of course there are always a few that don't seem to get the WORD, such
as NO PASSING W/ THE DOUBLE YELLOW LINE which I believe is pretty much
all of the gap.... I saw a couple of these incidents and talked to one
of the people and his reply was he didn't know that you should not pass
on the GAP and besides he saw others doing this.....My thought to....
all this year we had 2 sheriff's at the bottom of the GAP maybe if we
ignore the local drivers who don't pull off fast enough for us then next
year we could have the policew at the top , middle and bottom of the GAP
Now wouldn't that be fun for everyone!!!!...Enough of my soapbox... I
had a great time and already have the weekend blocked for next year..
