Nope, Peter you are right! It was me!

However, the encounter ended in a friendly handshake and the officer managed
to scare the other miata into not riding my bumper (the whole reason he had
stopped us) which made me feel a lot better the rest of the trip :-)

Oh, of course we got a warning but that's nothing <g>
