At no time ever during the Gap, and after the Gap, did I (the one who
apparently made the parallel with the poster) want to imply any parallel as
far as the lack of service... The Gap non-organizers didn't take a penny
from me and are in no way *responsible* for the lack of food
quantity/quality/whatever. I have ONLY appreciation for those people.
I did make a comment about the food because I personally thought it was:
A) Not enough (especially the sack lunch...)
B) Too expensive for what it was (especially the BBQ)
C) Unclear... when I called Tapoco they asked me if I was making reservation
for the Saturday Barbeque. In South Florida Saturday Barbeque means
something different than Saturday Barbeque Sandwich.
I don't intend (like you suggested) to *complain* to Tapoco as mine wasn't
really a *complaint* but a NOTE to others... for next time. I can assure
you that for next year's picnic I'll make sure to have the local
Robbinsville Deli hook me up with some meaty sandwiches.
My parallel with MW99's poster was only in the fact that IMHO criticism
should be used to improve not get all pissy and touchy. As I said I will
personally look at every freggin poster before it goes out next year... The
improvement that I was envisioning was nothing more than having the website
say:
Saturday Picnic (Tapoco will prepare sack lunches, *which you may want to
supplement if you're used to more than one sandwich*)
Sunday Night Outdoor plate featuring Barbeque sauce Sandwich.
Foolish me thought that it was ok to point out a very minor glitch in a
wonderful weekend, so that next year the glitch could be avoided if not
averted.
