Lisa,
The dealer that I bought Jazz from tried to do this to me. They made an offer
and you accepted by signing. They are obligated to fulfill the terms disclosed
in that contract. The bank may very well want more funds to secure the
interest rate, but the dealer will have to be the one to accommodate the
discrepancy. In my case, they lowered the price of the car to match what was
required by the bank. That is Indiana State Law, so it may vary from state to
state. Then again, they may just be crooks and are trying to get more money
from you; which I assume is the case.
