Hey Gang,

The Gap was definately a blast, wasn't it, but I've heard various
complaints.

They are:

1. I didn't get to meet all the people I wanted to...
2. The food was too expensive...
3. The rooms were too hot/noisy/etc...
4. Where are the vendors...

And I am sure there are more...

So, what I propose is a yearbook/program for next year. I could look
into publishing costs for such a project and then sell them at an
absolute minimum to cover my printing costs.

It would contain (at minimum):

1. A list of who is comming and where they are staying. Basically,
Doc's list from the web page and a map to all of the big places where
people are staying: Lodges, Motels, etc, but not including the private
places. After all, some are staying in private places, for, well
privacy reasons. Plus, a description of all of the places so that you
could make reservations for the next year based on your experience this
year.

2. A list of all the resturants in the area, and possibly get them to
have coupons for Miata people. Plus, a map of where they are, and a
review by fellow gappers, descriping they type of food (steaks,
hamburgers, country cooking, etc.), atmosphere (casual, nice, fine,
etc.), and prices (cheap, I can float it, and mortgage the farm).

3. A list of the vendors coming and where they are going to be
located. As far as I knew, Joe was the only vendor at the Gap. But I
was wrong! Apparently there was another vendor selling stuff at one of
the lodges and I was disappointed that I didn't get to visit them.

What else, gang?

We could call it the Official Guide to the Unofficial Meeting of Miatas
at the Gap.

What do you guys think?

Please, write me back and let me know...

thanks,

Eric
