I have devised a cup holder for the M2 which could be used on M1's also.

 Go to an Auto Parts store (Pep Boys, Auto Zone, etc.). Get a Rubber Queen
 cup holder. The type with the flexible hanger that would fit in the window.
 Remove the flexible part by pulling it out of the slot. Pull the sill
 protector up and place the flexible part under the sill with the little
hook
 part sticking up just into the passenger compartment. Then get some sticky
 backed Velcro and put the hook part on the back of the cup holder. All you
 have to do is slide the cup holder down on the hook part sticking out of
the
 sill and the Velcro holds the cup holder firm. It sits just under the knee
 on the outside of the leg. Also, when not in use, it can be moved to in
 front of the seat and the Velcro back holds it out of the way.
