My .02
1. Electronic dash in a convertible - not my choice, but that's a
purely subjective personal taste issue.
2. Power top. Doesn't make sense in the LWS class. Might make sense
Honda is after the SLK set.
3. Reliability. This is a non-starter. Honda's are known for their
reliability more than anything. I put 100,000 miles on a 89 Accord 2 years
and only did regular maint. and replaced one headlight. The two other
Hondas I owned (ok, one was an Acura) were similarly trouble-free.
4. Price. I dropped into my local (SF Bay Area) Honda dealer two
weeks ago and asked. He said low $30's, plus about $5,000 dealer markup due
to supply/demand. We'll see. Hype like the Miata? I don't think so. There
will be some excitement, but not on the scale we saw 10 years ago.
