Those hoses go to the heater core.  I had a leak in one and had it replaced
at my mechanic because I didn't like the thought of breaking off the nipple
on the heater core trying to get the hose off (which to fix requires removal
of the dash).  $10 part and so far the only thing I have not done myself...
