Jeff, in this day in age you have to be cautious. I haven't
had problems and I know that Mike Sliger has been running
the same PIAA's in his '99. I guess he has about 40K miles
on his by now so we know he has to be doing a LOT of night
driving. I haven't heard any ill effects from his other
than bulbs burning out and PIAA replaces those under
warranty without questions.

Mike, any comments?

Tom, that's good news, my lighting guy was probably being
cautious.

I've had the PIAA 80/80's in my '99 since May with no ill
effects to the plastic lenses or reflectors.

YMMV.

Peter, if like the '99 Miata, the headlight is made of
plastic, you are
probably limited to about 65 watts, anything higher will
melt the assembly,
go to a auto lighting shop and ask their advice.

A question for the list: My other car is a 1995
Millenia and I want to increase the brightness with
the headlights.

Anyone have any idea as to how powerful of a bulb I
can place in this car?

Or does PIAA make their Super Whites to fit most
import applications?

Thanks in advance!
