Well, IMHO it's a very good implementation of FWD...and I have no bindings to "historical", RWD Alfas, so...

Nope, it's not built on the Punto platform but on the Bravo/Brava/Marea platform. IMHO (again), that doesn't have to be a bad thing - Fiats may have been quite crappy, but their handling have always been a bit better than your standard econobox.

That may be true...but IF I bought an Alfa 156 I would not keep it that long...320,000 kilometers is a looong way to go... :-)
