Depends on size, style, type, who applies it, etc.  My survey around these 
parts ranged from $175 for two wide stripes, front to rear including 
hardtop, to $300 for three smaller stripes, iridescent vinyl.  I'm sure 
there are places that would do it cheaper (and some that will do it for 
much, much more), but I went to shops that have a history of doing cars, do 
the work inside, in heated garages, guarantee their work and have an air of 
pride and professionalism.

As for painted stripes?  I have no idea as I didn't even consider them.
