Rob
I bled the brakes on my '90 last week. Miata.net says that you will need
about 1.5 litres for the brakes, and another 0.5 litres for the clutch.
This seemed like WAY too much to me, and in talking to the owner at a local
racing shop got roughly the same opinion. Anyway, I bought a half litre of
dot 5.1 brake fluid and it was just enough to do the brake and clutch
systems. Don't know how many ounces that is, but all the old fluid was
definitely gone.
YMMV
