Agreed. I'm still a newbie -- I've only owned a Miata for like four
months -- so I don't tend to be a "technical" poster. I'm generally either
a "fluff" poster or a "question" poster. Although occasionally I see
questions I can actually answer. =) I've had scores and scores of hobbies
in my young life, so I'm sure I'll have plenty of other hobbies in the
future, but few things stay with me for a long time. I'm pretty impatient,
I'm always wanting to do something new. So some things last very short
periods of time (archery, oil painting), some things have a strong,
moderate run (cooking, pocket billiards, and recently retired from
piercing), and some things are still with me (computers, french). Some
things I'm forced away from *snif* (juggling cause of my finger, art
photography cause no room for equipment). I think the Miata will be
staying with me for a while, and I only hope that this time next year I'll
be able to participate more in coming up with answers instead of
questions. =D Few things "move" me (pun unintended =) as the Miata. It's a
great community, both online and in person, and I'd love to meet each and
every one of you! And it's an amazing car, a blast to drive, and has
finally gotten me addicted to roadsters. I always admired MGBs as a little
kid, whenever I saw them, along with Alfa Spiders. Now I own a roadster
myself! This message is definitely going off on a tangent. *giggle* So, I
leave you with (drum roll please):

ObMiata:
Sorta Miata content. =) Driving out of the parking garage of my apartment
complex, I saw a beautiful smurf blue Miata that just parked in the guest
section. I stopped and talked to the guy for a while (his girlfriend lives
in my apartment building). He doesn't have a rollbar, but has a number of
mods -- header, catback, CAI I think. Mostly Racing Beat stuff if I
recall. Also, he said he races NASCAR. What I thought was interesting was
that he mentioned because he races, he buys like 102 or 110 octane (can't
remember which), and every few tanks in his Miata, he puts a gallon of
that in there. Anyone else done this? =) Alas, he doesn't do the internet
thing, but did mention the local Miata club. Can't remember if he said he
was a member or not. Methinks I may join the local club just to meet other
Miata owners, even if they don't do the "spirited drives" that I and the
other rogue Miatae here in Portland do (Hi Nate! Hi Brad!).
