Amp. Definately. Expecially if you think about getting a sub later.

PPI makes a 4x30 + 1x120 that goes for $359 at www.mmxpress.com. That may 
not sound like a lot of power, but PPI usually under-rates their amps. 
That's what I am going to get.

If you don't plan on adding a sub (you can always get a mono block amp 
later anyway) then the PPI 4x30 is $225.

The rule of thumb is get the best quality amp you can afford. Don't look at 
raw power (I hear Jensen makes a 300w amp for $59 hehehe) but look at the 
brand name and what other people are saying. Check out rec.audio.car on 
Dejanews and see what amps people reccomend.
