| Subject: | Starter button...hey it's cool! |

Hmmm...originally, I was lukewarm about the threads about rewiring a Miata
to have a starter button. I didn't want to do any surgery on my ignition
wiring that could one day rear it's ugly head in the worst place....
Then my friend drives up and shows me his small black button (as opposed to
a big red button). "try it" he says...so I turn the key to on and press the
button...vroooom!!! Hey...that was a cool sensation doing that... so I
asked about it...turns out it's a Japanese kit which involves no splicing!
It has the correct connectors, so you can just unplug the connectors to your
ignition key (or whatever it's called), plug it into the starter button
unit, and plug it's wiring into the ignition. Quick, painless, totally
reversible!
Now it's got me thinking about it...it was so cool, he had to stop me from
turning the engine off and pressing the button ;-)
Will find out the specifics of the kit, I actually forgot to ask who made it
(brain fart)! ;-p
