Your right it seems counter-intuitive and I can't believe it works. The
more heat you remove from the coolant the cooler the engine runs,
right?? The heater core is nothing more than a small radiator and in a
pinch if you run the heater on high with the fan on high you will remove
a bunch of heat from the coolant. How can disconnecting the heater make
the car run cooler???
