the tow hooks are bolted on.  You kinda have to get down low and dirty to 
remove them.  If i remember correctly, you need a 12 mm open-ended box wrench 
and a 12 mm socket wrench to remove the 3 bolts.  If you jack the front of 
the vehicle up, it makes the job a lot easier.  Just take a look and you will 
see them.  I dont know why Mazda doesnt remove these damn things at the 
dealership!  They sure are ugly!
