Come on Stu, give the guy a break! If nothing else, he has a VERY unique
Miata! Certainly so when compared to the classic red-FM
swayed-Bridgestone shod-Koni shocked-factory spoilered cars that seem to
constitute the bulk of this list. And there are certainly MANY more
types of shift knobs onthe hot rod Hondas...and many more turbo set ups,
too.
I, for one, find that certain people on THIS list promote a certain
"aftermarket orthodoxy", which, while promoting good parts, leads to a
certain boring sameness. I say go for it, dude! Anyone out there who
wants to do a wild body kit, or a weird engine swap, or even run
Bonneville in a Miata has my interest. And few things are more
individual than doing it yourself. Thank God for the do-it-yourselfers,
or there wouldn't be ANY aftermarket to chose from.I'm sure glad that
there were Miata pioneers out there to lead the way, and I'm proud to
have tried a few pioneering mods of my own.
Let's celebrate our automotive diversity.
