As for the hole, paint the center of your hub and the axle nut.  You could
do the color of your car, or something in the Touring Car style, like
yellow.  White or silver would blend in with the wheel and there's always
black or gunmetal grey.
The hole is actually part of the TC look.  Race cars supposedly didn't have
hub caps (at least, that's what I'm told!)
