hi nate...
the 10W-30 will do you fine for the winter and prolly the summer too.
that's what i used when i ran the amsoil. it was great stuff for
lubricating and absolutely no hla noise in my car. i know it rains more in
seattle than here ;-) but your temps are pretty much the same most days.
haven't used red line myself... only used mobil 1 once on a long trip south
when i couldn't find amsoil. seemed pretty much the same.
i had no problems with the seals in the time that i ran it. my seepage
occurred past the driver side head gasket.
filters... i've been unable to make myself use the mazda filter since i went
to the parts counter to buy one and the box they passed me contained a
filter with rust on the threads. been using purolator since... no
complaints.
