| Subject: | Dipping idle and shaking tranny |
| Date: | Thu, 3 Feb 2000 01:39:41 -0500 |
Hey all
I am having two problems with my 90 and I am not sure if the problems are
related to each other. The car has around 70k and with the original
clutch.
Problem #1. After driving and when I get to a stop light the idle will drop
down 300 and then back to normal. This occurs with the car in gear or not.
I adjusted my idle to around 900 and the problem still occurs. I also
recently changed my plugs and wires with NGK.
Problem #2. When I am accelerating from a start the car will start to
shake. This only occurs when getting out of 1st gear. Once I give it more
gas or keep the clutch depressed all seems fine. In addition. If I am going
up a hill from a start, the car shakes very badly. It feels like the tranny
is shaking.
Does this mean I need a new clutch? Can problem #2 cause problem #1.
Thanks everyone
Merwan
