Any owners of Valentine agree with my idea that I usually let the detector ride
along side my thighs and it's just as effective around town(except vs laser).
If I'm on a highway type run where I want to be able to look up quickly to see
the count / direction / type then it goes visor-mounted.  FWIW, this habit
started because the NewBeetle's windshield is about a half mile away, and
permanent mounting is not an option for me.
