Oh, Paul, don't take off yet.  You seem like a nice person, and you need
LOTS more practice making a fool of yourself before anyone here will think
badly of you...trust me, I speak from experience. ;D

Congratulations on your new-to-you Miata.  You might find an archive search
helpful on "CRYSTAL WHITE DISEASE," "STUCK IN REVERSE," and "CRANKSHAFT."
Some of the early Miatas are prone to such things, and I'm speaking from
experience here too, although I've learned how to successfully do the field
fix on the reverse problem (thanks, Lance!).
