A stock '99 Miata gets 25mpg city and 29mpg highway.  A stock '99 Pathfinder
gets 16mpg city and 19mpg highway.  If you fill both tanks (12.7gal/Miata,
21.1gal/Pathfinder) you would spend (lets use $1.30/gal) $16.51 for the
Miata and $27.43 for the Nissan.  So for $10.92 more per fill-up you can go
20.1 more miles in the Nissan.

Almost the same?  Huh.
