From: Richard Dekker Subject: Not safe with either top Date: Sat, 2 Sep 1995 17:42:54 -0400
Well, after two years of owning my Miata, I've finally joined the cut window club. Had a bad feeling last night, and stayed up late, but this morning I found that my rear window had been slashed overnight. My car has a 8" bleeding cut in its rear window now and I'm seeing red! Seems that the car isn't safe with either top on it, as the passenger window was broken in January while the hard top was on. Wonder what my insurance company is going to say on Tuesday morning. The timing stinks though, what with the holiday Monday, leaving me with only two days before leaving for Vancouver, Seattle, and Vancouver Island, catching the Great Northwest Gathering on Sunday. I guess I'll be the one there with the band-aid on the rear window. Maybe I'll just put the hard-top on before we go...nah. The heat in the interior of BC would kill us. I guess it's top down for 900 miles striaght--start buying your shares in Cooper Tone, as it's going to go up soon.
