Subject: Report: One day visit to Miata at the Ranch

Jeanne and I drove up early Saturday morning and made the 170 mile

drive to Miata at the Ranch near Solvang last Saturday. Although we

hadn't registered for the event, we had planned for a one day visit to

check out the vendor area, meet other Miata list'ers, and just have

fun driving around the Solvang/Buelton area.



We had great success accomplishing all these goals plus we even

managed to take part in an impromptu wine tour of local vineyards

(duplicating the "official" rally route which had taken place the previous

day).



Like always, all the Miata folks we met were extremely friendly,

especially those with Miata list subscriptions, and it was very

satisfying and great fun to be able to put some faces behind e-mail

signatures.

My only regret was not having taken more pictures, especially of the

Miata.net'ers group shot that took place late Saturday afternoon.

Hopefully Gary Fishcman or other folks who had cameras will be able
