Subject:Push-starting (really),"Speedster" windshield, power window questions
Date: Fri, 1 Jan 1999 04:52:12 -0500

Happy New Year to All!
Questions:
1) Re. push-starting (not horns and ABS) my '96 - OK, how do I disconnect the
clutch interlock so I *can* push-start if I need to? A link, simple (real
simple, please) instructions, etc. most appreciated!
2) While I'm rooting around under dash and hood playing with electricity, is
there a *simple* way to wire my stock power windows to function independently
of the ignition switch, and to also connect my lights to switched power?
3) Has anyone made a "Speedster" windshield (chopped it short)? I know racers
amputate the whole thing, but I'm considering a street-legal project car sans
any top, and figured I could reduce the frontal area significantly by chopping
the windshield, while still being able to pass inspection. How short can one
go before goggles and a bug strainer become mandatory?
TIA!
Steve Cogswell
